April 20, 2007 | Track and Field

NORMAN, Okla. The OU men's and women's track and field teams travel to the newly renovated John McDonnell Field at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville for the John McDonnell Invitational Saturday, April 21.

A total of 20 men and 16 women are scheduled to compete as the Sooners hope to compete in fair weather after suffering through cold, wet conditions the last two weeks.  The forecast for the meet is partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid 70s and winds from the south-southeast at 12-16 miles per hour.

OU has qualified 11 men's entries and eight women's for the NCAA Midwest Regional, hosted by Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, May 25-26, and look for many more this weekend.
