FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Members of the University of Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams compete at the NCAA National Indoor Championships Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10.
The NCAA Championships are hosted by the University of Arkansas at the Randal Tyson Track Complex.
The Sooners practice Thursday at the complex many from the group are visiting for a fourth time this season.
Sheldon Leith (60-meter hurdles), Chip Heuser (pole vault), Portia Nash (women's long jump), Frankie Wright (men's long jump) and the women's distance medley relay of Catherine Odell, Kristi Cook, Tijahnni Newton and Jessica Eldridge compete in events that have finals on Friday.

The women's long jump will be the first event on the schedule in which a Sooner competes when Nash takes to the runway at 4 p.m.
Kevin Bookout (shot put), Toni Smith (women's triple jump), Shardae Boutte (men's triple jump) and the women's 4x400-meter relay of Jhavonne Pope, Leslie Cole, Jasmine Still and Newton compete Saturday.
Yolanda Goff competes in the women's 60-meter dash preliminaries Friday. The finals for the event are Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
