Henderson Named to U.S. Team

NORMAN, Okla. Former Sooner Jamie Henderson has been named to the U.S. Men's Senior National Team by the Men's Program Committee.  Henderson joins OU junior Jonathan Horton, who automatically qualified as a member of the 2006 U.S. World Championships Team. 

The other members of the 2007 U.S. Men's Senior National Team are Guillermo Alvarez, Alexander Artemev, Raj Bhavsar, David Durante, Sean Golden, Joseph Hagerty, Tim McNeill, David Sender, Justin Spring, Clay Strother, Kevin Tan, Yewki Tomita and Sean Townsend.  These 15 gymnasts will comprise the Men's Senior National Team until the 2007 Visa Championships in August.

Jamie Henderson bio

Henderson completed his gymnastics eligibility at OU in 2006.  He was a finalist for the Nissen Emery Award as a senior and earned five All-America honors during his career.

The Crosby, Texas, native finished fourth on horizontal bar and fifth on pommel horse at the 2007 Winter Cup Challenge.   At the 2005 Visa Championships he placed seventh in the all-around and horizontal bar and eighth on pommel horse.
