NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma baseball team announced on Saturday that its home game against Wichita State, originally slated for Tuesday, Feb. 27, has been moved to Wednesday, Feb. 28. First pitch at L. Dale Mitchell Park is scheduled for 5 p.m.
The game is the first of two meetings in 2007 between the Sooners and Shockers. The second meeting will take place in Wichita, Kan., on April 10 at Eck Stadium.
The OU-WSU game on Feb. 28 comes four days after the 2007 home opener for the Sooners. Oklahoma (2-4) will begin the home portion of the schedule on Friday, Feb. 23 against Western Illinois. The game is the first of three against the Leathernecks and the start of a nine-game home stand for the Sooners, the longest of the season. Additionally, OU will play 17 of its next 21 games in Norman.

OU and Wichita State last met on June 5 in the championship game of the 2006 NCAA Norman Regional at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The Sooners won that game, 7-6, to advance to the Houston Super Regional. Wichita State leads the all-time series 10-9.
