NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Sooners (10-2) make their sixth appearance
in the past eight seasons
in the Big 12 Championship Game on Saturday night at
the Alamodome. OU, with conference crowns
in 2006, 2004, 2002 and 2000, is aiming to become the
first Big 12 team to win back-to-back titles.
The
Sooners handed top-ranked Mizzou (11-1) its only loss
of the season, 41-31, in Norman on October 13. Since
that loss, MU has reeled off six wins and jumped to
No. 1 in the BCS. Saturday's rematch in the
conference title game is set for 7 p.m. CT in San Antonio.

ABC has the national telecast with Brent
Musberger calling the game, Kirk Herbstreit with analysis
and Lisa Salters reporting from the sidelines. The
Big 12 Championship marks OU's 67th consecutive game
on TV.
The 41-station
Sooner
Sports Radio Network will broadcast
the game live with
affiliates blanketing
the state of Oklahoma. KOKC,
AM 1520 and KRXO, FM 107.7 will carry the game in Oklahoma
City while KMOD, FM 97.5, KTBZ, AM 1430 and KAKC, AM
1300 have the matchup in Tulsa. The network will also
carry the game to Sooner fans in Amarillo, Dallas and
Houston, Texas plus Fort Smith, Ark. and Wichita, Kan.
Bob Barry, Sr., will call the game with analysis from
Merv Johnson and sideline reports from Trent Smith.
Friday night, join the OU radio team in San Antonio
from 7-8 p.m. at a special Big 12 Championship edition
of Sooner Sports Talk from
Dick's
Last Resort on the
River Walk. The show is presented by
Stryker
Orthopaedics.

ESPN's
College GameDay was in Norman on October 13 to
cover Oklahoma's 41-31 regular-season win against the
Tigers. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso
and the Gameday crew will be live Saturday morning
(9-11 a.m.) in front of
the
Alamo to cover the title tilt between OU
and Missouri.
College Gameday has been on site for 18 Oklahoma games
(only four schools have more appearances). Saturday
marks the first time Gameday will cover an OU Big 12
title game since 2000 when the Sooners defeated Kansas
State in Kansas City en route to the program's seventh
national championship.

Sooner fans can join in all the excitement of the Official
Pre-game OU Boomer Bash at the world famous
Buckhorn
Saloon and Museum on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 3-5
p.m. Winner of the "Best Attraction" award
from the San Antonio Downtown Alliance, the Buckhorn
Saloon and Museum is sure to delight and amaze everyone
who attends.
The Official Pre-game OU Boomer Bash
will include appearances by Joe Washington and Lee
Roy Selmon. The event will be a catered affair with
all the trimmings of the southwest including a Salsa
Bar, Pecan-Encrusted Chicken, Tacos, Hill Country Sausage
and more.

As always, Oklahoma fans are encouraged to wear the
school colors to support the Sooners from the stands
-- the nation will be watching. Be loud, be respectful
and cheer the Sooners on to victory against Missouri
for the program's 41st conference title. The
Pride of Oklahoma will play on the field and from the
stands while the Sooner Schooner will be on the sideline
pulled by Boomer and Sooner IV in their next-to-last
appearance at an OU game.
