THE MATCH UP
Oklahoma will look to avenge an earlier season loss to the Tigers as MU pulled out a 3-2 win over the Sooners in Columbia. Wednesday night is a significant match for the Sooners as they need to win their final two matches to remain in contention for a third-place finish in the conference. Oklahoma owns a 12-6 record in the Big 12 with two matches remaining while Kansas State, whom the Sooners swept this season, posts a 14-5 mark in conference play with one match remaining against No. 3 Texas. The Tigers currently sit in sixth in the conference with a 9-9 league mark. Both squads are coming off road losses as OU fell to No. 2 Nebraska, 3-0, and Mizzou fell to Texas A&M, 3-1.
SCOUTING MISSOURI
Oklahoma must contain the Missouri offense that recorded a .274 hitting percentage against the Sooners earlier this season. In particular, OU must handle Na Yang, who pounded 26 kills against the Sooners and is averaging 4.64 kills per game in Big 12 action (fourth in the league). Defensively, Missouri is averaging 2.80 blocks per game and 16.69 digs per game in league action.

Oklahoma moved up another spot to No. 21 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll that was released on Nov. 19. Oklahoma jumped up one spot after coming in at No. 22 in last week's poll. The Sooners are one of four Big 12 teams ranked in the top 25. Nebraska stayed at No. 2 and Texas remained in the No. 3 slot. Kansas State, who the Sooners swept this season, also stayed at No. 12 in the latest poll.
SOONERS ADD ANOTHER 20-WIN SEASON
With its win against Baylor on Nov. 14, the Sooners secured their 13th 20-win season. Last season, Oklahoma went 28-6. It marked the first 20-win season for OU since 1997 when the Sooners finished with a 20-13 overall record.
FIVE-GAME SUCCESS
The Sooners have been very successful in five-game matches. Oklahoma has played eight five-game matches this season and won six of them. Five of the eight matches were against teams on the road, including two that were in the top 25 at the time. Since the start of the 2006 season, the Sooners are 14-4 in five-game matches. In 2007 alone, OU is 6-2 in five-game matches.

OU's 15-match home win streak was snapped by No. 1 Nebraska on Oct. 13. Prior to that OU's last loss at home was in 2006, also to No. 1 Nebraska. Including the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Oklahoma is 23-4 at the McCasland Field House
