With the Dallas Cowboys clinging to a 17-10 lead over the Redskins and Washington driving in the red zone, Roy Williams picked off Mark Brunell at the 1-yard line to sway the momentum back in Dallas' favor.

Dallas went on to win the game, 27-10. Along with changing the game with his second interception of the young season, Williams led the Cowboys with seven tackles, all unassisted.

It was another dominating performance for the Baltimore Ravens' defense, as they held the Oakland Raiders to 162 total yards in a 28-6 victory.

With the Ravens leading 18-3, Kelly Gregg scooped up a fumble and returned it 59 yards, a Baltimore record, to the Oakland 15-yard line, setting up a field goal by Matt Stover.

Gregg also added four tackles on the day. Corey Ivy, another former Sooner, registered three tackles for the Ravens. Mark Clayton also had a big play for Baltimore, taking a short pass from Steve McNair and turning in a 30-yard gain.

The OU-Texas rivalry sparked up in the Chicago-Detroit game on Sunday. Former Longhorn Roy Williams, now a wide receiver for the Lions, guaranteed victory for Detroit before the game started.

Led by former Sooner Tommie Harris, the Bears made sure that would not happen, crushing Detroit 34-7. Harris mentioned the guarantee after the game. "A lot of talk comes from a lack of confidence in what you can do. My rookie year here (2004), we used to talk a lot and we weren't that good."

Harris finished the game with two solo tackles. Fellow Sooner alum and Chicago teammate Mark Bradley had one catch for five yards.

In a defensive struggle between AFC West division rivals, the Denver Broncos outlasted the Kansas City Chiefs, 9-6. Stephen Alexander caught two passes for the Broncos, gaining eight yards. On the other side of the ball was another Sooner, Jimmy Wilkerson, who managed one solo tackle for the Chiefs.

Brodney Pool continued to see significant action this past week at Cincinnati. He finished the game with four tackles, three of them solo, but his Cleveland Browns fell to the Bengals 34-17.

The San Francisco 49ers are already a quarter of the way to their victory total from a year ago as they defeated the St. Louis Rams 20-13 on Sunday. Brandon Moore registered four tackles, three solo, to help the 49ers to victory.

Brandon Jones has recovered from his injury in Tennessee. The former Sooner receiver caught two passes for 18 yards in a losing effort. Both of his catches came on passes from Vince Young, a former rival of Jones and the Sooners at Texas. The Titans got hammered by the San Diego Chargers, 40-7.

LOOKING AHEAD TO WEEK 3
In college football action, the Oklahoma Sooners are set to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Saturday. In NFL action, Sooner alum Derrick Strait and his New York Jets take on Blue Raider alum Kelly Holcomb and his Buffalo Bills.

Only one head-to-head Sooner battle is slated for Week 3 but it features some familiar names.

Mark Clayton, Dan Cody, Kelly Gregg, Corey Ivy, Chris Chester and the Baltimore Ravens travel to Cleveland to take on Brodney Pool, Antonio Perkins, Travis Wilson and the Browns. Six of those former Sooners were members of Oklahoma's 2004 Big 12 Championship team.

Three Sooners are involved in the first bye weeks for NFL teams. Roy Williams and his Dallas Cowboys get their first break of the season while Jimmy Wilkerson, William Bartee and Kansas City are also off.
