NORMAN, Okla. -- The first preseason practice on Thursday fooled us. Light breeze, cloud cover and temperatures in the 80s.
 
Summer was back with a vengence in Oklahoma on Friday.
 
The heat roasted fans at the annual Meet the Sooners Day in the morning. It was a broiler for practice in the afternoon.
 
The players and coaches took it in stride assisted by a training staff quick with the water bottles.

Oklahoma practiced for two hours before calling it a day and hitting the showers. Saturday's practice will again be at the rugby fields and begin at 5 p.m.

All preseason practices and scrimmages are free and open to the public unless otherwise announced on SoonerSports.com.
 
Fans are encouraged to park in the west lots of the Lloyd Noble Center and walk to the berm on the south side of the rugby fields. Sunscreen, water and folding chairs are recommended.
