NORMAN, Okla. -- Just one day removed from his appearance at the Big 12 media days in Kansas City, OU running back Adrian Peterson was back in the spotlight.

Peterson taped a segment Thursday for ESPN2's morning show, Cold Pizza, in the football locker rooms under the south end zone of Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.

The program is featuring Heisman Trophy contenders for the upcoming 2006 season.

After breaking the all-time season rushing record at Oklahoma with 1,925 yards, Peterson finished second in the Heisman balloting in 2004. It marked the best finish ever by a freshman.
