Softball to Appear at Crossroads Mall Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. The No. 12/13 Oklahoma softball team will make an appearance at Crossroads Mall this Saturday, Feb. 4 from 12 to 2 p.m. in Center Court, which is located on the first floor in the middle of the mall. Oklahoma coaches and players will be signing autographs and handing out schedule posters for the upcoming 2006 season.

The Sooners are gearing up for the 2006 season, which starts next Friday, Feb. 10 at the UNLV Alexis Resort Kickoff Classic in Las Vegas, Nev. In a battle of top-25 teams, OU will take on No. 13/14 Washington in the opening round of the tournament.

Oklahoma will host its home opener on Wednesday, Feb. 15 with a doubleheader against Central Arkansas slated for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Sooner fans who don't want to wait until Saturday to catch a glimpse of the 2006 Sooners still have the opportunity to attend the annual “Meet the Team” banquet this Friday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. inside the J.D.
