DALLAS -- Freshman center Courtney Paris was selected Phillips 66 Big 12 Rookie of the Week by a media voting panel for games played from Feb 13-19.
Paris was recognized for the tenth time this season while earning her seventh rookie award. Both totals are Big 12 records.
Kiera Hardy (Nebraska) was named player of the week.
Paris helped OU secure its fourth Big 12 regular season championship while shooting 63 percent form the field and averaging 17.5 points, 17 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 3.0 assists in wins over Texas and No. 21 Texas A&M.
Paris extended her Big 12 and OU records streak of double-doubles to 19 games while also bumping her season total up to 24. Despite facing regular triple teams against the Longhorns, the Piedmont, Calif., freshman was able to toss in 20 points and 20 rebounds, marking the fifth time this season she has snared 20 or more boards.
