NORMAN | Oklahoma completes its tour of all four BCS bowls with a trip to Arizona and the 2007 Fiesta Bowl on January 1. The Sooners are in their fifth BCS bowl game in seven years.
Since the 2000 season, OU has played in the Orange Bowl (2000 and 2004), Sugar Bowl (2003) and Rose Bowl (2002). The Sooners qualified for their eighth consecutive bowl under head coach Bob Stoops and 40th in the program's history.
Oklahoma claimed a BCS berth with its fourth Big 12 Conference Championship since 2000 (2006, 2004, 2002, 2000). OU beat Nebraska, 21-7, in Kansas City on Saturday for its latest title.

Oklahoma in the Tostitos Fiesta BowlThe Oklahoma Sooners will be making their third appearance in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and their first since 1983. The Sooners defeated Wyoming, 41-7, in the sixth Fiesta Bowl and lost to Arizona State, 32-21, in the second Fiesta Bowl played on New Year's Day.
Coach Peterson in the Tostitos Fiesta BowlBoise State head coach Chris Petersen will be making his first appearance in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Petersen, in his first year as head coach at Boise State, finished the regular season 12-0, making him just the fifth person to win that many games to begin a head-coaching career. Petersen also will be the fourth rookie head coach to lead a team to the BCS.
Coach Stoops in the Tostitos Fiesta BowlOklahoma head coach Bob Stoops will be making his first appearance in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. He has previously appeared in 20 bowl games as a player, assistant coach or head coach, including eight BCS bowls. He is 12-6 as a coach in bowl games and led the Sooners to the 2000 national championship with a win over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.
