NORMAN, Okla. -- As the OU football team continues its preparations for the 2007 Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1 against Boise State, nine seniors concluded their undergraduate work on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the University of Oklahoma's graduation ceremony.
Seniors C.J. Ah You, Larry Birdine, Jason Carter, John Dailey, Zach Latimer, Chris Messner, Carl Pendleton, Calvin Thibodeaux and Paul Thompson all participated in the commencement ceremony at the Lloyd Noble Center.
The nine individuals make up a group of 11 seniors, the smallest in the Bob Stoops' era.

For several of the seniors, the Fiesta Bowl is the last game in the Bowl Championship Series that they have not appeared in. Those individuals also played in the 2003 Rose (2002 season), the 2004 Sugar (2003 season) and the 2005 Orange (2004 season) Bowl games.
The graduates played a vital role in the team's success this season which saw it win the Big 12 Championship with an 11-2 record. The Sooners will depart on Christmas Day for the program's third appearance in the Fiesta Bowl (1976 and 1983).
