OKLAHOMA vs. OKLAHOMA STATE
Oklahoma (9-2, 6-1 Big 12) concludes its 2006 regular season with the annual Bedlam game. The Sooners travel to Stillwater to play the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. FSN will broadcast Oklahoma's 55th consecutive TV game beginning at 1:30 p.m.

A win in the game would give the Sooners 10 victories for the season and move the Sooners into sole possession of No. 1 in the nation in seasons with double-digit win totals at 29. Currently, OU is tied with Alabama (6-6 in 2006) with 28 seasons with 10 or more wins. It would also mark the sixth season with 10+ wins in head coach Bob Stoops' eight seasons.

In the News
The in-state rivalry is enough to get football fans' blood pumping throughout the state. But the stakes surrounding the game open the valves a little more. The Sooners climbed in the polls Saturday, jumping three spots in the Associated Press Top 25 to No. 13. More importantly...

A bricklayer working on the renovation project at Boone Pickens Stadium used subtly darker bricks to spell out "OU" on the stadium's east wall. The Bedlam bricklayer's work went unnoticed for months, then began popping up on the Internet. He was fired, and the bricks were replaced.

Oklahoma is one spot from being eligible to be considered for an at-large BCS bowl berth with two weekends left in the regular season. Will bowl committees, looking to fill that slot, factor in that the Sooners got rooked by officials in the Oregon loss and that Adrian Peterson...

This year, Bedlam could be big for both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. There's much more to this game than simple pride. It isn't about trying to ruin a season for the other team. This year, it could be about what it does for you. It could push the Sooners into the Big 12...

For the first time in the Bob Stoops era, Oklahoma State will not be a two-touchdown underdog. During Stoops' seven seasons at OU, the Sooners have been favored by at least 13 points in every game. The average betting line the past seven years has been OU by 19...

And now there is the 30-24 loss at Texas Tech, with Bedlam looming next. The Cowboys should be motivated to quickly recover not only because the OU game is this week, but because a victory would assure OSU of a winning record this season. On Oct. 7, OSU blew...

Everything appeared to be set up perfectly for OSU. With its running game, and a 17-0 lead on Texas Tech, the offense should've been able to pound the ball and control the clock while keeping the Red Raiders off the field. It didn't happen. The defensive front didn't generate...

"Like I said at the beginning of the season, that's the easiest game on (Oklahoma State's) schedule. That's the way I look at it every year." Joe Hajek knows exactly how to get Oklahoma fans riled. "Just that word," he said. "Gooners." He smiled. "Oh, that fires people up...

A trend OU must reverse in Stillwater is its carelessness. The Sooners have turned the ball over nine times over their past two games, putting them 11th in the Big 12, and 89th in Division I-A, in turnover margin. They lost four fumbles at Baylor, and have lost 11...
