Mark Clayton had his second 100-yard game as a pro Sunday, catching five passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns. It was not enough for Baltimore as the Ravens dropped a 23-21 decision to Carolina.

Clayton's two touchdowns both came after the ball was deflected.

The first was a 14-yard score in which Clayton ran underneath the tipped ball in the end zone. On his second score, Clayton caught the deflected pass and turned up field for a 62-yard electrifying touchdown that cut the Panthers' lead to 16-14.

Carolina had the answer. Steve Smith broke wide open and caught a 72-yard touchdown pass from Jake Delhomme that iced the game. Smith finished with eight catches for 189 yards and a touchdown.

Kelly Gregg continued to be a force in the middle for Baltimore, registering seven tackles and a forced fumble. Corey Ivy sat out the game due to the kidney injury he suffered a week ago at Denver.

Brandon Jones was a top target of Tennessee quarterback Vince Young for the second consecutive week. Jones caught three passes for 34 yards and a three-yard second-quarter touchdown Sunday.

The touchdown pulled the Tennessee Titans to within one of the Washington Redskins, 14-13, at halftime. The Titans would go on to win their first game of the season, 25-22. Young had 161 yards passing on the day and the one touchdown to Jones to lead Tennessee

In a wild game, the Chicago Bears erased a 23-3 late-third quarter deficit to pull out a miraculous victory over the Arizona Cardinals, 24-23, on Monday Night Football.

With the Cardinals up by twenty, rookie quarterback Matt Leinart fumbled as he was sacked by Mark Anderson, and Mike Brown scooped it up and waltzed into the end zone to cut the score to 23-10 heading into the fourth quarter. Arizona still had the game in hand, holding the ball with just over five minutes to go, when disaster stuck.

Edgerrin James was met immediately by a slew of Bears defenders as he took a handoff, the ball was stripped by Brian Urlacher, and Charles Tillman returned the fumble 40-yards for a touchdown to pull Chicago within 23-17. Devin Hester topped it off for the Bears, returning a punt 83 yards for the game-winning touchdown with just under three minutes to play.

Tommie Harris had three tackles for the Bears and supplied pressure on Leinart that forced him to throw the ball away. Urlacher was also a monster for Chicago, accounting for 19 tackles to go along with his forced fumble.

The Dallas Cowboys dominated Houston, 34-6, at Texas Stadium. Roy Williams had four tackles and a fumble recovery for the Cowboys, who improved to 3-2 on the season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Davin Joseph pulled out their first victory of the season, defeating the Cincinnati Bengals, 14-13.  Michael Clayton caught an eight-yard touchdown pass from Bruce Gradkowski with 35 seconds left in the game to give the Bucs the win.

The Pittsburgh Steelers got back on track in a big way, handing the Kansas City Chiefs a 45-7 defeat to move to 2-3 on the season. Ben Roethlisberger had 238 yards passing and two touchdowns, and Willie Parker added 109 yards rushing and two scores to pace the Steelers to victory. Jimmy Wilkerson had two tackles for the Chiefs in a losing effort.

The New Orleans Saints made believers out of many after their victory, 27-24, over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Now 5-1, the Saints sent a message to the rest of the league that they are indeed for real.

Jammal Brown and the New Orleans offensive line gave Drew Brees all the time he needed. Brees threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns. Joe Horn had his best day of the season for the Saints, catching six passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
