Colorado in the News
Oklahoma comes into the game with something to prove without star running back Adrian Peterson, who broke his collarbone in last Saturday's win over Iowa State. He is out for the rest of the regular season. That could be a dangerous situation for the Buffs.

"You know what to expect when you go against Oklahoma," Colorado linebacker Jordan Dizon said. "You can expect a headache. You expect a whole bunch of power, a whole lot of confidence." The Buffaloes snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 30-6 win against Texas Tech last week.

If ever there was a time to get Oklahoma, though, it could be now. The Sooners lost Heisman Trophy candidate running back Adrian Peterson on Saturday to a broken collarbone and will have inexperience in the backfield. The Buffs follow with winnable games at Kansas...

"Oklahoma always has great players, so I don't think any of us are thinking the new guys won't be good," CU defensive tackle Brandon Nicolas said. "They have a lot of talent past Peterson." The primary replacements are expected to be juniors Allen Patrick and Jacob...

Who could have predicted by the time the Colorado Buffaloes visited Oklahoma, the Sooners would be the team scrambling to resurrect their running game while the one-win Buffs would be leading the Big 12 Conference in rushing?

The Last Time: The Sooners racked up 498 total yards and held the Buffs to a meager 46 yards in a 42-3 drubbing in the 2004 Big 12 Championship game in Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium. Only Mason Crosby's 34-yard field goal late in the third quarter prevented the Buffs...
