Tickets On Sale For Tip-Off Dinner

NORMAN, Okla. -- For the first time in the history of the event, the State Farm Tip-Off Classic pregame banquet will be open to the public. A limited number of tickets remain at $35 each.

The banquet will be held at Norman's Post Training Center Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The four participating teams - OU, DePaul, Georgia and Rutgers - will be on hand for the casual attire ceremony.

Fans who are interested in attending, need to contact the Tip-Off Classic organizers at (865) 633-9000 extension 225 or 234.

The OU Ticket Office is not selling tickets to the banquet.

The Tip-Off Classic games begin Sunday, Nov. 12 at Noon with Georgia and Rutgers. The Sooners will square off against DePaul in the finale at 2:30 p.m. Both games will be televised live by ESPN2. All four squads have been ranked in numerous preseason polls and were Sweet 16 participants last season.

General admission season tickets still remain for the 2006-07 OU women's basketball season (which includes tickets to both games of the Tip-Off Classic), although reserved level tickets have sold out.
