Women's Golf Among Nation's Best in Academics

NORMAN, Okla. The University of Oklahoma women's golf team finished 20th in the nation for highest collective team GPA during the 2004-05 school year. The Sooners posted a GPA of 3.445.
The honor, given by the National Golf Coaches Association, recognizes the women's collegiate golf programs with the highest collective team GPAs which includes all of a team's student-athletes for the 2004-2005 season. The NGCA recognizes the nation's top 25 teams.
The University of South Carolina finished first and won the 2004-2005 NGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award with a 3.752 figure. Three other Big 12 teams who were recognized were Nebraska, Kansas State and Missouri.
