NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma, on the first day of classes in Norman, observed one practice on Monday, and that one was held in the Everest Indoor Center after morning showers softened the practice fields.
The Sooners worked out for two hours in the humid, but sure-footed indoor complex.
ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit and ABC's Aaron Taylor were on hand to observe. Both were in town for just the day to take in a practice session and catch a glimpse of the highly touted class of newcomers. Herbstreit did an interview during the day that will run on SportsCenter. Portions of it also will be used when ESPN features Oklahoma as part of its state-by-state preview.
All of Oklahoma's remaining practices are closed. The team is preparing for its Sept. 3 opener against TCU. That game will be televised live by ABC and is scheduled to kickoff at 11 a.m.
