NORMAN, Okla. -- Mother Nature couldn't stop Oklahoma from continuing its preseason preparations Monday evening.
The Sooner football team returned to the Everest Indoor Training Center east of Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium for the second practice of the day.
Although rain had stopped in the Norman area, the OU coaching staff opted to practice indoors to avoid further wet weather and soggy field conditions.
OU head coach Bob Stoops turned the evening workout a "normal practice."
"It was good," he said. "We continue to make good progress."

Oklahoma worked on a number of aspects and finished in its two-minute drill. The team also covered numerous special teams situations including punt coverage and onside kick reception.
WR Malcolm Kelly, nursing a sore hamstring, continued to work his way back into practice and participated in several of the early drills.
RB Adrian Peterson was impressive when the Sooners worked on their ground game.
"He's bigger, stronger and faster," Stoops said. "But why would that be unexpected. It's the maturity of an older guy."
