Shooting Begins for 2005 Football Intro Video

NORMAN, Okla. -- Attending a home football game in Norman is a special event for thousands of Sooner fans that pack Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium each fall. Obviously game action is the main event but there are many other experiences that add to the gameday atmosphere.

The OU Athletics Marketing office has worked to create special intro videos for the big screen on the south scoreboard to rev up the crowd just before the team charges onto Owen Field. The marketing office coordinates with Visual Image, a company based in Oklahoma City, to create the promotionals.

Visual Image created the 2004 football intro videos that played before each home game and also created the men's and women's basketball videos and commercials that ran at Lloyd Noble Center during the 2004-05 season. The company has produced the football videos for OU since 2000 and the basketball videos for the past four seasons.

Steve Sturges, Steve Parham and the Visual Image crew were on hand Wednesday at the Switzer Center to begin production for the 2005 football videos. Former Sooner greats Steve Zabel, Billy Sims and Joe Washington joined current Sooner players on the first day of the video shoot:
