Women's Golfer Ties for 31st at NCAA Central Regional

LUBBOCK, Texas Senior women's golfer Emily Milberger finished in a tie for 31st at the NCAA Central Regional in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday.

On the front nine, Milberger bogeyed on the par-5 2nd but birdied the 5th, 6th and 9th holes. She recorded three more bogeys on 10, 13 and 17 but ended strong with a birdie on the par-5 18th. With a 72, her best round of the tournament, Milberger moved up 38 places with a tournament total of 229.

Auburn won the tournament with an 896 (+32). Other teams finishing in the top five were Texas A&M, Missouri, Arizona State, Tulsa and Purdue. Auburn's Diana Ramage took the individual title with a four-under 212.

The tournament, hosted by Texas Tech, was played at the 6,328-yard, par-72 Rawls Golf Course.

The top eight teams from each regional will go on to compete at the NCAA Championships May 17-20 in Sunriver, Ore.
