Sooners Finish 15th At Mason Rudolph Championships

Milberger Earns NCAA Central Regional Bid

NORMAN, Okla. Oklahoma women's golfer Emily Milberger earned an individual bid to the NCAA Central Regional Monday after tying for 12th at the Big 12 Championship, but her teammates will not be joining her.
 
The Sooners missed a bid to the tournament and ended their season with a 10th place finish at the Big 12 Championship.

Milberger, a senior from Olathe, Kan., was Oklahoma's top golfer in the 2004-2005 season. With a 75.69 stroke average, Milberger led the Sooners in seven tournaments this year. She opened the season at the Lady Northern Invitational, where she tied for 17th and shot a career-low 71.

Milberger went on to record six more top-20 finishes with her best finish coming at the Kent Youel Invitational, where she tied for 5th. Most recently, she tied for 12th with a 230 (+14) at the Big 12 Championship.

The NCAA Central Regional will take place May 5-7 at the 6,234-yard, par-72 Jerry S. Rawls Golf Course in Lubbock, Texas. Milberger will join individual competitors Merynn Ito (Nebraska) and Louise Kenney (Iowa State).
 
Team qualifiers include Auburn, Arizona State, New Mexico, LSU, Wake Forest, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Michigan, Tulsa, TCU, Southern Methodist, Purdue, Michigan State, Kent State, Baylor, Texas A&M, South Florida, Texas Tech, Notre Dame and Long Island.
