Women's Golf Falls in Second Round

AUSTIN, Texas The Oklahoma women's golf team fell into a tie for 11th place after shooting a 328 in the second round of the Big 12 Championship at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin on Saturday. Oklahoma State remained on top of the leaderboard with a two round total of 602 (+26).

Senior Emily Milberger, who was tied for 15th after the first round, fell three spots after carding a seven-over 79. With an 81 in the second round, sophomore Jaclyn Stelzer is tied for 31st with a 159 (+15). Freshman Heather Wright moved up five spots into a tie for 47th after shooting an 82 for a total of 164 (+20).

Struggling in the second round was freshman Kelly Jacques, who carded a 90 and fell to 56th with a two-round score of 168 (+24). Rounding out the scoring for the Sooners is junior Amparo Gala, who shot a 14-over 86 and slipped to 57th.

The final round of the Big 12 Championship begins Sunday at 8 a.m.
