Milberger Named Second-Team All-Big 12

NORMAN, Okla. Oklahoma women's golfer Emily Milberger has been named a second-team All-Big 12 member by the league's head coaches. This marks the first time that Milberger has earned a postseason Big 12 award.
Milberger, a senior from Olathe, Kan., has been the Sooners' most consistent and successful player this season. She has a stroke average of 75.58, the lowest on the team, and has recorded six top 20 finishes this year. Her best finish came at the Kent Youel Invitational, where she tied for fifth and shot a career-low 71 in the first round.
Other players honored by the Big 12 include Annie Thurman-Young (Oklahoma State), who was named Women's Golf Player of the Year, and Kelley Louth (Texas) who was chosen as Newcomer of the Year. Oklahoma State's Mike McGraw was tabbed as Coach of the Year.
