OKLAHOMA CITY -  The University of Oklahoma men's gymnastics team was honored Tuesday by the Oklahoma House of Representatives, in Oklahoma City, for winning the 2005 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championship.

A House resolution was passed to honor the team and then presented to OU head coach Mark Williams.

"It was a great honor to be recognized for our national championship in the state capitol," said Williams.  "This was a great opportunity for the athletes to visit the capitol and be recognized by all of the state's legislators."

The team was taken down to the floor of the house where they received a standing ovation from all in attendance after State House speaker Todd Hiett read the proclamation of accomplishments.
