NORMAN, Okla. The Oklahoma women's golf team concluded its regular season with a 958 (+94) at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic on Monday at The Trails Golf Club in Norman. The Sooners placed 11th after shooting a 322 in the final round.
Missouri won the tournament title with a three-round total of 889 (+25). SMU's Lacey Jones, a native of Idabel, Okla., won the individual title with a five-over-par 221.
Senior Emily Milberger, who finished as Oklahoma's leader for the fifth time this season, tied for 13th and carded a 228 overall. It also marked Milberger's sixth top-20 finish of the year.
With a 26-over-par 242, sophomore Jaclyn Stelzer tied for 45th after shooting an 81 in the third round. Freshman Kelly Jacques finished two strokes behind Stelzer with a 244.
Junior Amparo Gala moved up two spots on the leaderboard after carding an 84 (+12) in the final round. Gala finished the tournament with a 253 overall score.
Competing as individuals in the tournament were sophomores Megan Goodwin and Charli Bullard. Goodwin finished in a three-way tie for 74th at 252 (+36), while Bullard placed 86th with a 276.
The Sooners will travel to Austin, Texas, on April 22-24 to compete in the Big 12 Championships. The team earned a fourth-place finish in the tournament last year.
