Women's Golf Falls to 15th in Second Round

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma women's golf team fell to 15th place after shooting a 319 in the second round of the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., on Saturday. Wake Forest remained in first place after firing a 297. The tournament is being played at the 5,773-yard, par-70 University Golf Course.

Freshman Kelly Jacques moved up five spots into a tie for 28th after carding a 76, giving her a tournament total of 153. Senior Emily Milberger trails Jacques by one stroke after shooting a 77 in the second round.

Sophomore Jaclyn Stelzer also moved up on the leaderboard into a tie for 75th. Stelzer shot an 80, two strokes under Friday's mark.

With a second-round score of 86, junior Amparo Gala fell into a tie for 80th. Freshman Heather Wright rounded out the team's starting five with an 88, putting her in 86th.

Tee time for the final round of the tournament is set for Sunday at 8 a.m. EST.
