Sooners Remain in 16th After Round Two

NORMAN, Okla. The Oklahoma women's golf team remains in 16th place after the second round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas, on Saturday. The team shot a 326, putting their tournament total at 653 (+77).
Arkansas moved up two spots to first place after firing a 302. Nebraska, who led the field on Friday, shot 32 over Friday's mark and fell to ninth.
Senior Emily Milberger fell into a tie for 13th but leads the Sooners after two rounds. Milberger shot a 79, bringing her two-day total to 154 (+10).
Freshman Heather Wright moved up three spots into a tie for 54th with a nine-over-par 81 in the second round. Fellow freshman Kelly Jacques also improved, shooting two under Friday's mark and moving into a tie for 59th.
After carding an 85, sophomore Jaclyn Stelzer moved into a tie for 91st with a 173 (+29).
Junior Amparo Gala and sophomore Megan Goodwin both shot a 90 in the second round. Gala finished day two with a 33-over-par 177, while Goodwin brought her total to 180 (+36).
Tee time for the final round of the tournament is set for 8 a.m. on Sunday.
