Sooners in 15th Place at Las Vegas Showdown

NORMAN, Okla. After Tuesday's second round of the Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown in Henderson, Nev., the Oklahoma women's golf team is in 15th place with a score of 617 (+41). Oklahoma is 53 strokes behind leader UCLA.

True freshman Kendall Dye continues to lead the way for the Sooners. After two rounds of 74 (+2) and a total score of 148 (+4), Dye is tied for 27th place. Next in line is junior Megan Goodwin, who dropped from 31st place to a tie for 62nd place after posting an 82 (+10) and a total score of 156 (+12). Sophomore Heather Wright is tied for 69th place with a total score of 159 (+15) after shooting an 83 (+11) in round two. Redshirt freshman Staci Smoot is tied for 73rd with a two-round score of 161 (+17), and junior Jaclyn Stelzer is in 76th place after carding a 163 (+19) in the first two rounds.

The tournament is being played at the 6,194-yard, par-72 Anthem Country Club and will wrap up on Wednesday.
