NORMAN, Okla. The Oklahoma volleyball team was unable to continue its momentum Friday as it suffered a sweep (30-22, 30-24, 30-18) to Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, just two days after the Sooners claimed their first Big 12 win of the season against Texas Tech.  The Aggies, currently in 10th place in the Big standings, improved to 10-11 overall and 3-9 in conference play while the Sooners dropped to 6-16 and 1-12 in the Big 12.

Oklahoma had a rough outing offensively, hitting at only a .130 clip for the entire match, which was .230 points lower than the Aggies' output.  Errors were also costly to the Sooners as they committed 22 to A&M's 11.

For only the second time this season, no Sooners recorded double-digit kills.  Junior Eliane Santos led the low-scoring offense with nine kills while sophomore Sarah Weiland followed with seven kills.  Sophomore Anna Stadel recorded a match-high .235 clip with six kills.

Defensively, the Sooners were outplayed by the Aggies as well.  Texas A&M collected 56 digs to OU's 42 digs while also posting seven blocks at the net, three more than the Sooners.

The OU defense was unable to stop A&M's All-American outside hitter, Laura Jones, who pounded 20 kills on a .333 clip in the three-game match.

Adding to the Aggies' offensive attack was Lindsey Yon who hit at a match-high .550 clip while pounding 13 kills.  Kendra  Felder followed with 11 kills on an impressive .474 clip.

Making her second straight appearance as the starting libero, junior Anna Monsen collected a team-high 13 digs while junior Joanna Schmitt added 11 to the OU defense.

The road does not get any easier for the Sooners as they face the top-ranked and undefeated Nebraska Cornhuskers this Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Lincoln, Neb.
