NORMAN, Okla. The University of Oklahoma men's and women's basketball teams will hold their annual Baseline Bash preseason event, presented by Arvest Banks and produced by the Campus Activities Council, on Friday, Oct. 21, at Lloyd Noble Center. Doors to the event, which starts at 7 p.m., will open at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
A 45-minute men's and women's basketball autograph session on Lloyd Noble's upper concourse will start the evening at 6:15 before a pep rally begins at 7.
Sherri Coale's OU women's team will start the basketball portion of the night at 7:25. Contests on the court with players and crowd members will be featured.
The men's team, a consensus top-10 national preseason pick, will then be introduced. Kelvin Sampson's squad will hold a dunk contest and a brief scrimmage.
Student Homecoming skit finals are scheduled for 8:20 p.m. and will be followed by a live performance by national recording artist Cary Brothers. Comedian Pauly Shore is scheduled to perform at 9:30.
The OU football team will host Baylor the following evening at 6 p.m.
