Red/White Game Tickets Available; Heisman Ceremony Set

NORMAN, Okla. -- Once again, Oklahoma's football team is headed for a top-five preseason ranking and Sooner fans can get a preview of sorts at the Red/White Spring Game. Tickets for that contest, which is set for Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m., are on are sale now. A savings of 50% is available for those purchasing tickets prior to game day.

Also set for the spring game is the official on-campus presentation of Jason White's Heisman Trophy. Officials from the Downtown Athletic Club of New York will be in Norman for the ceremony.

Other special activities include Sooner Fan Fest north of Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The large interactive area, which is free to the public and will open at noon, includes games, concessions, appearances by former Sooner greats and a visit from the NCAA Experience Tour.

Advance tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. OU students with a valid OU ID and children age 5 & under will be admitted free of charge.

On the day of the game, adult tickets are $10, while youth tickets are $5.

Tickets are available online through the official Athletics Department web site, SoonerSports.com, or from the Athletics Department Ticket Office in the Asp Avenue Parking Facility. Phone orders will be accepted at 405/325-2424 or at 1-800-456-GoOU.

Those placing phone or online orders prior to noon on Friday, April 9 will receive tickets through the mail. Anyone ordering after that time can pick up tickets at will call. The ticket office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The ticket office will open at 10 a.m. the day of the game.

Fans are encouraged to have tickets in hand for the game or to arrive early to avoid long lines. Last year's spring game drew a crowd estimated at 40,000.

This year's Red/White Spring game is presented by Diffee Ford and GlaxoSmithKline.
