NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma women's basketball team leaves Norman at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, for its first round game of the 2004 NCAA Championship. The Sooners will load the bus from the southwest side of the Lloyd Noble Center for a 10 a.m. flight to Tempe, Ariz.

Oklahoma (23-8) will be participating in its fifth straight and seventh overall NCAA Tournament. The third seed Sooners will face 14th seed Marist (20-10), Metro Atlantic Tournament champions, on Saturday, March 20 in an ESPN2 telecast at 8 p.m. (CST). OU has won four straight and six of its last seven games heading into postseason play.

The Sooners stormed through the Big 12 Tournament bracket last week by upsetting the No. 3, 2 and 1 seeds, No. 13 Colorado, No. 8 Kansas State and No. 2 Texas, respectively, for their second tournament title in three years.
