 The No. 4 Oklahoma softball team run-ruled Centenary by a score of 9-1 (six innings) to advance to the championship game of the LSU Tiger Classic in Baton Rouge, La. The Sooners will meet Illinois at 2:50 p.m., with the winner taking home the Tiger Classic crown.

Oklahoma began with an explosive first inning against Centenary.  Junior Christina Enea began the scoring with an RBI single, which was followed by a three-run home run from fellow junior Jessica Leslie.  The Sooners were up 4-0 after the first frame. 

Heather Scaglione picked up her fifth RBI of the tournament with a run-scoring double in the third inning to put the Sooners up by five runs.  Sooner centerfielder Kristin Vesely picked up second RBI of the tournament and extended the Sooners lead to 6-0 at the end of four frames.

In the bottom of the fifth inning RBI singles by Norrelle Dickson and Enea upped the Sooners advantage to 8-1.  OU's run-rule victory (9-1) was sealed by an RBI single from April Valdez in the bottom of the sixth.

Freshman Jessica Johnson (2-0) impressed again as she picked up her second win in as many days.  Johnson allowed just one run in 12 and 2/3 innings work during the Tiger Classic. 

Sophomore Nicole Denes (3-0) will be in the circle for Oklahoma as she tries to pick up her second victory over the Fighting Illini.  Denes picked up her first career shutout against Illinois on Friday afternoon.  The Sooners won their season opener against Illinois 7-0.
