NORMAN, Okla.- Oklahoma's senior co-captain Quinn Rowell was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week announced on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Rowell and the Sooners defeated then-No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 California on Friday with a season-high score of 219.600. Rowell broke the school record on the high bar with a 9.850 helping the team also establish a new school-record on the apparatus with a 38.250.
In addition the Texas native established a career-best on the parallel bars with a 9.050.
The Sooners (7-0) are ranked No. 3 this week and host No. 7 Michigan, No. 8 Nebraska and No. 9 Minnesota at McCasland Field House this Saturday at 2 p.m.
