Hybl, Holleyman Headed to NFL Europe

Former Sooner quarterback Nate Hybl and defensive lineman Bary Holleyman will play in the NFL Europe League this spring.

Hybl completed 5 of 11 passes for 39 yards and a touchdown in preseason action as a rookie for the Browns in 2003. He entered the NFL as a free agent following an outstanding college career at Oklahoma, where he went 19-3 as a starter.

Hybl was allocated to the Scottish Claymores and will be based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Bary Holleyman will play for the Frankfurt Galaxy as a free agent. The 6-3, 284-pound defensive end participated in training camps with the St. Louis Rams in 2003 and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2002. Holleyman played defensive tackle at OU and lettered from 1998-2001.

Holleyman will be based in Frankfurt, Germany.

The NFL Europe teams will begin their full training schedule in Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday, March 3, after a two-day passing camp. One week later, on Wednesday March 10, the players will see their first live action - with the first official combined workouts.

The players then depart for Europe with the 2004 season beginning on Saturday, April 3.
