MIAMI, Fla. -- The Oklahoma football team completed a busy schedule on the final day of 2004 in Miami. Select players began the morning with an FCA breakfast, then a group departed for a hospital visit while another headed for the Orange Bowl press conference focused on OU's defense.
Head coach Bob Stoops, Chris Chester, Jason White, Paul Thompson, Tommy Grady, Rhett Bomar, Garrett Hartley, Clint Ingram and James Moses visited patients at Baptist Children's Hospital.
In Ft. Lauderdale, Co-Defensive Coordinators Brent Venables and Bo Pelini plus Jonathan Jackson, Lance Mitchell, Lynn McGruder, Dan Cody and Antonio Perkins represented the Oklahoma defense at the Orange Bowl press conference at the media hotel.

The Sooners then held special teams and position meetings back at the team hotel in Bal Harbour. The buses departed for Barry University at the practice facility early in the afternoon.

After a two-plus hour practice, the team met with the media, lifted weights and took in a late buffet lunch. Another bus ride back to the hotel in Bal Harbour completed the scheduled activities for Friday.

Tomorrow morning, coaches Chuck Long and Kevin Wilson plus Jason White, Vince Carter, Jammal Brown, Adrian Peterson, J.D. Runnels and Mark Clayton will represent the OU offense at the Orange Bowl press conference at the media hotel in Ft. Lauderdale.
Oklahoma's sixth practice in Miami is slated for the afternoon.
