NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma beat SW Missouri State, 74-71, Saturday afternoon at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. Leah Rush produced her first double-double of the season and third of her career to lead the Sooners to victory.
The Amarillo native scored a career-high 25 points and collected a game-high 12 rebounds, which ties a personal best. It was the second consecutive game and third time in her career that Rush crossed the 20-point plateau. The 6-1 forward made eight of 18 field goal attempts, both matching career highs.
Rush was also a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. She is 25-for-30 (.833) from the stripe this season.
Laura Andrews, in her first start this season, connected on her first four 3-pointers, scoring 12 points by the 7:33 mark in the first period. The four made treys matched a season high. She finished the game shooting 4-for-7, all 3-pointers, and scored a season-high 13 points.

Four of Oklahoma's starting five Rush (25), Welch (16), Andrews (13) and Jackson (11) scored in double figures. Rush, Welch and Andrews all had season highs in scoring.
Dionnah Jackson emerged from second-half foul trouble to clinch victory for the Sooners at the free throw line. Jackson shot 3-for-4 from the stripe, all within the final 23 seconds of the game. Jackson logged only 17 minutes on the court, her fewest this season.
Oklahoma (5-3) returns to the court next Saturday, Dec. 18, against Louisiana Tech at the Nike Classic in Eugene, Ore. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip-off and will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
