Sooners, Iowa State Top Big 12 Divisions

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma and Iowa State hold the top division slots in the Big 12 Conference following last weekend's action. The Sooners (9-0 overall, 6-0 Big 12) defeated Texas A&M, 42-35, in front of a hostile crowd at Kyle Field in College Station. Iowa State (5-4, 3-3) upended Nebraska, 34-27, in Ames to assume first place in the Big 12 North.
 
Oklahoma next hosts the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Owen Field in Norman on Saturday with a chance to clinch the south dividion with a victory. The Cyclones travel to Manhattan to battle Kansas State with the north division still up for grabs.
 
The Big 12 Conference has five teams ranked in the Top 25 of the coaches' poll -- the most of any conference. The SEC and ACC have four teams each and the Big 10 and Pac 10 follow with three each.
