NORMAN, Okla. -- Head Coach Bob Stoops spoke with the press corps following Monday's practice inside the Everest Training Facility. The No. 2 Sooners (11-0, 8-0 Big 12) face Colorado (7-4, 4-4 Big 12) at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the 2004 Big 12 Championship Game.
Oklahoma, 2-1 all-time in Big 12 title games, played the Buffaloes in 2002 for the conference crown. The Sooners beat CU, 29-7.

On Colorado...
"It's a big challenge. They're a strong team that's played well down the stretch. With everything thing they've been through, Coach Barnett, his staff and his players have done a great job to get into this position. We realize it's a big challenge and a championship game. We've got to be on top of our game to go and play well and that's what we've been working towards all week."

On things that worry you...
"I think as a team, they are very sound defensively. Very fundamental in their schemes and in their structure. Offensively, I believe Joel Klatt is an excellent player. He's made a lot of plays for them throwing the ball. He's very accurate. They're always strong running the football. They have a balanced attack. You've got to be sound to stop them. Their punter and kicker have been very good. They're a solid team all the way around."
On Colorado having a blitzing defense...
"That hasn't been something they've done a lot. It's something we're always ready for. Everybody blitzes some and depending on how you handle it, they either do more of it or less of it. They have done it some but not a ton of it."
On BCS...
"Bottom line is I can't do anything about it. All we can do is to get ready to win this game. That's where our concentration is and that's all that matters to us right now. Again, Colorado has a strong football team and we've got to play our best to give ourselves an opportunity to win."
On championship goals...
"Season-long goal first is to win a Big 12 Championship. That comes before. I'm not getting beyond that. You can ask me about (the BCS) next week. What matters now is the Big 12 Championship. That goal is in front of us. That's where our concentration is."
On practicing outside to get ready for Kansas City weather...
"We will as the week goes. It's not a big deal."
