FREEPORT, Bahamas -- Oklahoma shot a season-low 23.9 percent from the field as it fell victim to Iowa in the championship game of the Lucaya Division of the Junkanoo Jam Tournament Saturday. The Hawkeyes (4-0) defeated the Sooners (No. 21 AP and No. 23 ESPN/USA Today), 54-47, and handed OU its first loss of the season, 3-1.
Iowa's Jamie Cavey scored seven of her 12 points in the last eight minutes, while Crystal Smith added 11 points and seven rebounds. Johanna Solverson added 10 points followed by Krista VandeVenter nine points and 11 rebounds.

Cavey, Solverson, Florida's Bernice Mosby and Oklahoma's Dionnah Jackson and Leah Rush were named to the all-tournament team. Smith was voted MVP of the two-game tournament.
Oklahoma was led by seniors Dionnah Jackson and Lauren Shoush who each scored 12 points. Jackson also had five rebounds, three assists and nine steals. However, OU only connected on 16-of-67 field goals, including a 4-of-25 performance from the arc.
Iowa also became the first team this season to out rebound the Sooners, 47-43. The Sooners were able to pull down 20 offensive boards to UI's 14.
The Hawkeyes shot 41.2 percent from the field (13-28), 23.1 percent from the arc (3-13) and a poor 37.5 percent from the free throw line (9-24).
Iowa used an early 14-3 run to take a 23-10 lead and held a 30-22 advantage at the break.
