NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson has won two awards for his play in last Saturday's 35-0 Sooner victory at Baylor.  The Big 12 Conference named the true freshman its offensive player of the week while fans picked Peterson as the national player of the week in the ABC/Cingular Poll.

Peterson carried 32 times for 240 yards at Baylor, and scored a career-high three touchdowns.  He had three runs of 20 yards or longer, including a game-long 49-yarder.

It is the third time this season that Peterson has won both awards.  He was similarly honored after rushing for 225 yards in the Sooners' win over Texas and for picking up 249 yards at Oklahoma State.

Peterson now has 1,671 yards on the season and has tied the NCAA record for 100-yard rushing games by a freshman with 10.
