Sooners Move Up To 14th Place At Mason Rudolph Championships

NORMAN, Okla. The University of Oklahoma women's golf team moved up to tie for 14th place at the Mason Rudolph Championships, hosted by Vanderbilt University, in Franklin, Tenn. The Sooners shot a 299 (+11) in the second round of play, bringing their total score to 604 (+28). The Sooners trail first-place UCLA by 27 strokes.

Freshman Kelly Jacques, who is tied for 21st, leads the team after carding a 72 in the second round for a total score of 148 (+4). Senior Emily Milberger is tied for 33rd after shooting a 76 (+4), and freshman Jaclyn Stelzer carded a 78 (+6) to tie for 52nd. After shooting a 74 (+2), junior Amparo Gala is tied for 62nd. Heather Wright rounds out the scoring for the Sooners with a second-round score of 77 (+5) to tie for 79th.

The Sooners will resume play at 8:30 a.m. Central time on Sunday, which is the final day of competition.
