NORMAN, Okla. The annual Red-White Series, which concludes the Oklahoma baseball team's month-long fall team practice session, will take place this week at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The teams kicked off the series on Sunday with a 5-4 Red victory and will end the fall classic on Saturday. All games and practices are open to the public and are free of charge.
The remaining games of the series are scheduled as follows: Game Two - Monday at 3 p.m., Game Three - Thursday at 4 p.m., Game Four - Friday at 6 p.m. and Game Five - Saturday at 7 p.m.
Game Two's starting pitching matchup will feature junior lefthander Garrett Patterson (Red) vs. junior righthander P. J. Sandoval (White). Junior righthander Steven Guerra (Red) will oppose freshman righty Nathan Long (White) in Game Three, while another pair of righthanders are slated to square off in Game Four when freshman Brad Burns (Red) faces sophomore Ryan Mottern (White). Game Five's starters have yet to be determined.
