October 14, 2004 | Women's Basketball

Norman, Okla.   With football season in full swing and basketball practices set to start Saturday, Sooner fans are encouraged to purchase their 2004-05 women's basketball season tickets now.

Season tickets are a  great value with prices discounted 38 percent off the regular adult admission price for reserved seats and 42 percent off the regular adult admission price in general admission areas!  Reserved seats are located in the arena's lower bowl with the general admission “flex” plan tickets, located in the upper bowl, allow the ticket holder to redeem their tickets in any combination for any number of games during the regular season home schedule. Oklahoma women's basketball continues to be one of the best values in the powerful Big 12 Conference and the nation.

All lower arena seating is reserved. Reserved season ticket holders will receive one ticket for each game and the seat location will be the same for each game. General admission seating is only available in the upper arena. General admission tickets will not have a reserved location for each game. General admission booklets will contain 15 tickets that can be used in any combination for any number of games.

When you make the investment of purchasing an OU women's basketball season ticket you get more than just admission to a game. This year, season ticket holders will receive discounted rates, postseason ticket priority and Sooner Spirit pack which includes car flag, key chain and window cling.

For the past five years, OU women's basketball has concluded the season ranked among the nation's top 25 in home attendance  per game average.  The Sooners finished 12th in the nation last year.

The first opportunity for Sooner fans to see the 2004-05 women's basketball team in action will be on Thursday, Nov. 4, in the first of two exhibition games. Oklahoma will face TTT Riga (Riga, Latvia) on Nov. 4, followed by Oklahoma Christian University on Nov. 11. Both exhibition games will be played at Lloyd Noble Center at 7 p.m.
