NORMAN, Okla. The University of Oklahoma men's and women's basketball teams will hold their annual Baseline Bash preseason event, presented by Arvest Bank, on Friday, Oct. 22 at Lloyd Noble Center. Doors to the event, which is free to the public and will be held in conjunction with the Campus Activities Council's Homecoming Pep Rally, will open at 6 p.m.
A 60-minute men's and women's basketball autograph session on Lloyd Noble's upper concourse will start the evening. OU's cheerleading and pom squads are scheduled to perform at 6:45 before the 7 p.m. welcome.
A handful of pep rally performances and interactive on-court fan contests will occur throughout the night. One OU student will be randomly selected to attempt a halfcourt shot with the prize being a semester's tuition. Homecoming event winners will also be announced and OU's 2004 Homecoming royalty will be revealed.
A women's basketball highlight video and team introduction are slated for approximately 7:30 p.m. Head coach Sherri Coale will address the crowd before head coach Kelvin Sampson and the men's basketball team are then introduced.
The evening's events are scheduled to conclude at approximately 8:45.
The OU football team will host Kansas the following day at noon.
