NORMAN, Okla. The University of Oklahoma men's gymnastics team had two members named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnasts of the Week announced on Wednesday covering the past two weeks of competition.
Senior co-captain Heath Mueller collected honors for last week, after winning the all-around in the collegiate division at the Rocky Mountain Open. It was Mueller's first Falcon (award given out to top three finishers in each event) as he posted a 52.850 in the all-around.
Junior David Henderson also won the all-around in the team's home opener against Air Force, posting a new career-high 54.125. David was also tops on parallel bars (8.650), pommel horse (9.300) and still rings (9.675). He also recorded a career-high on the high bar (9.100), good for fifth place.
The No. 4 Sooners will return to action on Saturday, January 31 in Iowa City, Iowa to take on the No. 5 Iowa Hawkeyes.
