The annual Red River Shootout featuring Oklahoma and Texas has been set for a 2:30 p.m., kickoff on Oct. 11, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. ABC will televise the 98th renewal of one of college football's greatest rivalries.
It will be Oklahoma's second appearance on ABC this season following the Sooners' game with UCLA. OU's other regional and national TV appearances this season included the North Texas (FOX) and Alabama (ESPN) games.
Oklahoma has won the last three games against Texas. The Sooners last won four straight from the Longhorns from 1985-88. UT followed that with its own four-game winning streak from 1989-92 to mark the last time either of these squads took four straight from the other.
