Norman, Okla. - With a remarkable 43 wins over the last four seasons, not to mention a national championship and three bowl victories, it should come as no surprise that Oklahoma has had good players. The recent National Football League Draft and subsequent free agent signings confirmed that thought.
As expected, cornerback Andre Woolfolk went in the first round as the 28th pick overall to the Tennessee Titans. He'll be a teammate with former Sooner linebacker and Butkus Award winner, Rocky Calmus.
On day two of the draft, running back Quentin Griffin went to the Denver Broncos in the fourth round. In the seventh round, Jimmy Wilkerson landed with the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round and tight end Trent Smith went to the Baltimore Ravens.
Shortly after the draft was completed, quarterback Nate Hybl signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns and Antwone Savage did likewise with the Arizona Cardinals.
